Hello,
As a lead up to the October 12th “March Against Monsanto” rally for food security, we are looking for ways to fundraise for posters, permits, banners, signs, a couple of musicians, and printing costs for advertising, etc. We are hoping to do a movie night of films such as the following.
The World According to Monsanto http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VEZYQF9WlE
Genetic Roulette http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBlp_thTq0Y
Scientists Under Attack http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADNE1B2Rl5Y
Seeds of Death: Unveiling The Lies of GMO’s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6OxbpLwEjQ
I am new to Thunder Bay and have not made any plans yet, as I am not familiar with the city services, groups and venues who may be able to offer us resources (ie. information, space, loaned equipment, etc). y chance, do you have any ideas about how Summer in The Parks may be able to assist us? (ie. with either a venue or just a person who could give us some advice about where we should contact and how to start?) We are a completely volunteer group of citizens with no charitable number for donations, and no source of funding. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi Lindsay,
I’ve seen Genetic Roulette, and I found it terrifying. I’d personally love to help March Against Monsanto, and I’m sure others at Bay Street would be keen as well. When you have time, we’d love to talk to you more about showing a film, or helping you to put on a screening.
As far as Summer in the Parks, your contact is Jean-Paul De Roover ([email protected]).
Our office phone number is 346-0066, and our email is [email protected] . I could tell you how we organize a screening, and such.
Thanks,
Zoe
